For more than a century Holcomb & Hoke Mfg. Co., Inc. has been in continuous operation. The company was formed in 1897. In 1906 the company acquired land on Van Buren Street in Indianapolis, Indiana and built their first building, which is still in use today. Over the past century Holcomb & Hoke has manufactured a variety of unique products. These include the Butter-Kist Popcorn Machines sold until 1929. During the same period, similar products were manufactured and sold, including lunch wagons, peanut roasters, and sandwich warmers (Kistwich). The company also manufactured the Electra-Muse, a coin operated, electrically-powered, amplified phonograph or jukebox as they are know today. Later the Fire Tender line of bituminous coal stokers was introduced. Fifteen models served both residential and commercial markets.

FolDoor accordion doors and operable partitions were introduced in 1950 and 1961, respectively, and have been in continuous production ever since. This started the modern era of manufacturing acoustical space division products at Holcomb & Hoke. Holcomb & Hoke is proud to display the Perficurve Flexible Panel System as part of their portfolio of quality acoustical partition, movable wall and accordion door space division products. As with several of the products Holcomb & Hoke has produced during the past century, the Perficurve System is truly unique. It literally has thousands of applications and uses, in both function and design.

The founding partners J.I. Holcomb and J. Fred Hoke are long gone, but those involved today maintain the spirit of innovation, the commitment to excellence, and the responsiveness to our customers that have permitted the company to grow and prosper for over a century and more.
